Small Informal Luncheon or Daytime Event: 2 weeks
Baby or Wedding Showers: 3 weeks
Cocktail Party: 2-4 weeks
Informal Dinner Party: 3 weeks
Formal Dinner Party: 3-6 weeks

If you need to hold your party at an outside venue, you should check to see what dates the facility is available. Depending on the facility you may need to schedule and put down a deposit months in advance.
